CENTRAL JAVA GOVERNOR APPRECIATES KITB'S ASSISTANCE, URGES BUSINESSES TO HELP EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS
Batang, July 10, 2024 – The earthquake that struck Batang Regency on July 7, 2024, has caused damage to homes and infrastructure in several areas. As a form of concern for the affected community, PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (Grand Batang City) has assisted in the form of 300 sacks of cement and 100 food packages. Present at the handover ceremony were Nana Sudjana, Acting Governor of Central Java, Major General TNI Deddy Suryadi, Commander of the IV/Diponegoro Military Command, and Lani Dwi Rejeki, Acting Regent of Batang, along with the Batang Regency Forkopimda. They all came to directly inspect the conditions of the community and damaged houses due to the earthquake in Kalisalak, Batang District, Batang Regency.
Nana Sudjana said, "Businesses here care about the community, which is what I expect, like KITB (Grand Batang City) which provides building materials assistance in the form of 300 sacks of cement and 100 food packages to ease the burden of the community who will be repairing their homes. And this is what we also expect from other businesses, we urge that in situations like this, they need to assist the community affected by the earthquake."
The Director of Grand Batang City, Ngurah Wirawan, said that "As part of the Batang community, we feel compelled to help ease the burden of our brothers and sisters who have been affected by the earthquake. This assistance is a concrete form of our concern for our fellow human beings. We hope that this assistance can help the earthquake-affected community to recover quickly and start their lives again. KITB will continue to be committed to supporting the community in any circumstances," said Ngurah Wirawan.
In line with the vision and mission of Grand Batang City, to become a sustainable industrial estate that pays attention to the environment and the surrounding community, especially when disasters strike. The assistance provided is expected to be an inspiration for other companies to also participate in providing support and assistance to disaster victims.
